專案描述

tn5250 is a 5250 terminal emulator, used for connecting to IBM's AS/400 (now known as eServer iSeries) midrange computers. tn5250 implements TN5250E, which means it is capable of device name selection, and printer sessions. The emulator supports color, 132 column mode, and most other features found in 5250 terminals and Client Access' 5250 emulator. While tn5250 is text-based application, a script is included to run it in an xterm properly. If you don't know what an AS/400 is, this program will probably not be of much use to you.

The latest version of tn5250 adds many things, of which the most notable is the return of Win32 support. Also included are SSL client certificate support, a filter to convert SCS streams to PDF, color remapping, and the usual slew of bugfixes. The license has also been changed to LGPL to allow distribution with certain other programs (most notably OpenSSL).

0.16.2

This release includes a number of small bug fixes, some documentation enhancements, and several new features. tn5250 now supports rule lines (similar to those in IBM's Client Access), font specification in the .tn5250rc, and the addition of scs2ps, a standalone program that converts SCS to Postscript.

A bug was fixed in the handling of display inhibition. MC (Move Cursor) order, Read Immediate Alternate, and Read MDT Fields Alternate commands were implemented, and support of such is indicated to the host. The TD (Transparent Data) order was also implemented, but there is apparently nowhere to indicate this to the host. The remaining keyboard handling was moved from session.c to display.c, and tn5250_display_waitevent no longer returns keyboard events. The refresh() call was added to cursesterm.c. A quick Perl script was written to insert Robodoc comment headers for all the functions.
