Tk Ecasound is a frontend for Ecasound. It has the
look of a multitrack recorder. It supports Ladspa
plugins, multiple devices inputs/outputs, and
multiple effects.

A LADSPA loading window, a window for processing mixdown, and a master volume control were added. The main window is visible while the LADSPA plug-ins are loading. A message is given if Tkeca is unable to find the ecasoundrc file. Filenames with spaces are allowed. Certain buttons get disabled during mixdown. The Compressor utility is no longer available for mixdown. A bug in which certain buttons remain disabled after exporting .ecs was fixed. A bug in which Track Properties windows always reset to default values was fixed. Compressor is no longer always applied due to an "IF" error.
The "Default" device option uses the default
output of ecasoundrc. A "Solo" button and a "Del"
current track button were added. Up to 8 effects
are supported in each track. Ecasound preset
effects were added (10 band Eq and more). A track
name box was added. Muted tracks are skipped when
exporting to .ecs. Some basic mastering tools were
added to the Mixdown Options window. The Track
Recording Properties windows were changed. The
Global Options window was changed. The Effect
menus were changed to provide faster and easier
access. Compatibility with files created with
version 3.0.0 or later was ensured. Cosmetic
changes were made.
This release has a real time position clock (only for reference, not a precision tool). When you stop playing/recording, the clock values are replaced by the output of Ecasound's "dump-position"; this is the real position. Automatic file name extension has been added.
