SSIDE is a lightweight GTK+ based IDE for the C language intended primarily for the development of embedded applications. It provides a front-end for compilation with GCC and debugging with GDB. Template projects are included for STM32 microcontrollers.

The editor-style scheme has been made configurable. Shortcuts to "Find in Files" and "Add watch" have been added to the editor popup menu. Files or projects may be specified on the command line. The currently open project is now displayed in the window title. Files in the project view are now sorted. The source file filter has been added to the "Open File" and "Add Files to Project" dialogs. A feature to debug the GDB/MI protocol when run with the "-d" option has been added. Some bugs have been fixed.

This release adds the ability to watch target variables. It adds the ability to configure keyboard shortcuts. It adds a "Find in Files" function. Build progress is now shown in the dialog window. There is a new "New Project" wizard with templates. Support has been added for the STM32 connectivity line. An option to clear all breakpoints has been added. Debug icons have been colored to avoid confusion on Windows systems. Many bugs have been fixed and accessibility improved.

A configuration file has been introduced to save user preferences. This release allows users to customize the editor environment. It prompts users to save files before building. It adds Intel Hex file generation to generated Makefiles.
