This long-awaited maintenance release comes with a new command line interface for better integration with other applications. The user interface has been modernized to make use of new GTK+ features, such as the file chooser button. A sizable number of new translations has been added.
This release now depends on sigc++ 2 and gtkmm 2.4. The
UI has been outsourced into glade XML files and is loaded at
runtime via libglademm. Refinements of the UI include usage
of the new GTK+ file chooser and the addition of an Edit
menu. Translations to Czech, Dutch, British English,
Canadian English, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Brasilian
Portuguese, and Swedish have been added.
Several major bugs with the undo feature were fixed. Support for translating to different languages was added, and the dependency on libgnome-vfsmm was dropped.
