Jeti is a Java Jabber client that supports most chat
features such as file transfer, group chat,
emoticons, and formatted messages. It can be used
as an application or as a Web applet.

This release makes the plugins of Jeti more
platform independent. The systemtray and browser
link plugins use Java 6 features now, so they
should work on all platforms. The sound and idle
plugins have improved Linux support. Stream
compression (XEP 138) is now also supported.
The applet has been updated to use Jeti 0.7.6. Messages can be translated with Altavista's Babelfish. A plugin to automatically color your messages was added. The login window now contains an option to set the priority of your connection. Various other bugfixes and minor improvements were made.
