JCGrid

POVRay support now works fine with POVRay 3.6 for
Windows, there is written WebStart support for JCGrid
Mandel, and the first version of JCGrid Mandel is included.
Mandelbrot set rendering is now done over public grid
computing, so that users can share their CPU time for fast
exploring the Mandelbrot set. A problem related to POVRay
fragment images under Windows was fixed. A developers
section was added to the docs, and more information about
the grid was added in the administration area. A compressed
communication channel was added, and VFS can be now
disabled (mainly for security).

Animation support was introduced. You can now
split rendering of fragments of a single frame
and/or complete frames. It is better to split a
complete frame in order to avoid preprocessing
overhead. POVRay 3.6 has fixed the "Failed to
execute" problem. A new POVRay client
implementation was created. Session name
autogeneration was written. A new confguration
file format is used. New confguration GUI dialogs
were added. A new confguration class design was
implemented. JCGrid is reported to work fine under
MacOS X 10.3.4.

JCGridWorker can now run multiple workers. The
"Failed to execute" problem under RedHat 9.0 was
investigated. Grid statistics are now available
and can be accessed by using the GUI. A grid
administration mechanism is now available. A new
class design in the server package. The GUI client
for POVRay now supports partial image rendering.
A GUI client for POVRay was written. Installation
instructions for Windows were written. Docs are
now included in binary releases.
