Thunderbird is a total redesign of the Mozilla mail component to produce a cross-platform, stand-alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. Lightning is a calendar application which works with the popular Mozilla Thunderbird and SeaMonkey mail clients. It lets you manage multiple calendars, create your daily todo list, invite friends to events, and subscribe to public calendars.
Nx2 is a somewhat complex Web application that acts as a frontend to music databases. Based on XUL, it runs in Gecko based browsers such as Firefox. Built on this idea is a client/server model where several Nx2 frontends can connect to each other, creating a way to link together databases on different networks.

Ample SDK is a standards-based cross-browser JavaScript UI framework for building Rich Internet Applications running in a Web browser. It employs XML technologies (such as XUL, SVG, and HTML5) for UI layout, CSS for UI style, and JavaScript with DOM or jQuery APIs for application logic client-side. SiteFusion allows object-oriented PHP applications to operate as
OS-native applications through a XULRunner-based thin client. The client
connects to the SiteFusion daemon through an ordinary Web server, and
applications run in separate continuous processes. Two-way communication
is enabled, without the need for additional Web server configurations.
The implementation of the XUL framework in a PHP class structure
includes an implementation of the Mozilla tree view optimized for very
large trees, supporting drag-and-drop, editable cells, and sorting.
